Victoria Burgarella (aka Coach Vic) started teaching physical education at Xaverian in 2023, the same year she began as head coach of the girls' JV and Varsity Flag Football Team. She is also the assistant coach of the JV Cheerleading.
Burgarella is proud to be introducing girl's flag football to Xaverian. She has been involved with flag football since her freshman year of high school, playing on Tottenville High School's Varsity team all four years. Since then, she has fallen in love with the sport and began coaching youth teams in 2018 for her local rec league, Next Level Sports. Over the past few years, she has won multiple Super Bowls with her teams, but it didn’t stop there. In 2020, she was asked to coach for THT, a travel flag football organization. Burgarella and her team have traveled all over the country to play top-level competition. Her team has won three straight NFL flag national championship titles, and she is looking to capture their 4th title this year. Additionally, she has many other national championship wins. She is excited to bring flag football to Xaverian and is looking to have a successful inaugural season this spring.
