As the spring season unfolds, anticipation fills the air for Xaverian’s Varsity Girls Golf Team. With a blend of experienced players and promising newcomers, this talented squad is poised to shine on the fairways and greens. Under the guidance of dedicated coaches, they are focused on refining their techniques, perfecting their swings, and mastering the intricacies of the game. With each practice round and tournament, they'll strive to showcase their skill and sportsmanship, aiming for both personal bests and team success. Supported by their peers and fueled by their love for the sport, the team is prepared to navigate the challenges of the season with determination and grace, poised to leave their mark on the course and compete at the highest level.
Timothy Hepworth has been a member of the Xaverian community for 18 years, teaching law and social studies courses while also coaching basketball and golf for much of that time.
A graduate of St. Peter’s High School Class of 1982, Tim played four years of basketball (three on the varsity team) and two years of baseball. Tim was named a Staten Island Advance All-Star in 1981 and 1982 and is a member of the Thousand Point Club. Tim went on to work for the New York Police Department for 20 years while also earning degrees from St. Joseph’s College in 2006 and St. John’s University in 2009.
Tim is a father of four and a resident of Staten Island.
