2023-2024 Season Outlook

Let's Go, Clippers! The cheerleaders kicked off the 2023-2024 season in full force with clinics this summer and tryouts in late August to prepare for their busy fall season! Throughout the first few months of the year, the cheerleaders will be brushing up on old and new cheers, halftimes, and other special performances to cheer on their favorite football and basketball teams. Football games are where the cheerleaders love to show off what they know and give glimpses of what they’re working on for their competition season. This year, the team has plans to participate in three regional competitions and undoubtedly qualify for States! 

In addition to cheering on Football and Basketball, along with preparing for our own competitions, the cheerleaders have once again begun spreading awareness and raising money for some really important causes. In years past, you may have even contributed by visiting a bake sale, or two, or all of them! For the last seven years, Xaverian has been named a Top School for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides for Breast Cancer. This October, all three cheer teams will be participating in the infamous Pink Walk in Staten Island. 

Each year brings its own challenges and excitement, and this year is no different. Whether on the performance surface or off, the cheerleaders will strive for nothing less than excellence in cheering on each other, their school, and their community!
