Frank Espinosa

Chair, Educational Programs Committee
Francisco M. Espinosa Jr. is the principal at Father Ryan High School in Nashville,
Tennessee. Prior to taking on this role in the fall 2023, Espinosa was the principal at
Mount Saint Joseph High School – A Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School – in
Baltimore, Maryland, and served on Mount Saint Joseph’s Board of Directors. He
also spent eight years as principal and senior vice president at Saint Xavier High
School, a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School for young men in Louisville,
Kentucky.

Espinosa holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Louisville, as
well as a Master of Education in secondary education and administration, and a
second Master of Education in school leadership, both from Spalding University. He
served at Saint Xavier High School for 20 years in a variety of positions, including
varsity football coach, history teacher, assistant principal for student life, and
assistant principal for supervision of instruction, before taking on his current role.
“Over the course of my 22-year journey as an educational leader, I have been
fortunate to work with and for some excellent leaders who mentored me and
helped develop the emerging leadership talents in me,” Espinosa says. “Currently,
as an educational leader, I am motivated by high expectations and driven to offer
the best and most relevant programs for our students; their development, learning,
and success are incredibly important, and we have a tremendous obligation to
deliver on our commitment.”

As a longtime Xaverian educator, Mr. Espinosa promotes and strengthens the
school’s mission as a Catholic, Xaverian school. He is committed to bringing out the
best in his students, staff, and faculty.
