It is with tremendous sadness that we share the news of the passing of Monsignor Peter Kain, former Trustee and long time Chaplain of Xaverian, and beloved member of our school community.
Monsignor Kain affectionately would refer to himself as the “grandfather” of our school community, welcoming our younger Chaplain, Father Sean Suckiel and our Campus Ministry team to join him in the humble service of our students. Monsignor Kain modeled for the adults around him what it meant to be a humble and dedicated servant of God, but it was our students, who truly adored and admired his warm and gentle spirit, that were the most fortunate and blessed to be in his company, for it was there they would truly see the face of God.
SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY, APRIL 26TH IN REMEMBRANCE OF MONSIGNOR KAIN AND SO MEMBERS OF THE XAVERIAN COMMUNITY MAY ATTEND THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL.
