2021-2022 Season Outlook

The JV Girls Basketball program returns this year with 12 new players. Due to the effects of Covid in 2020, each player will be seeing her first action on the court in high school. This year’s team is composed of five sophomores and seven freshmen. Handling the majority of the ball-handling responsibilities will be Sophomore Kassidy Baez and Freshmen Dana Leahy, Lilliana DeVito, and Keira O’Sullivan. With no players over 6’0”, the Clippers will rely on basket protection and inside scoring from Sophomore Moorea Modica and Freshmen Haylie O’Keefe and Joya Moussallem.

The Clippers are deep at the wing position with several players, like Sophomores Abbie Giordano and Taylor Byrnes and Freshman Sophia Manfredi able to play multiple positions. Bringing her experience from a Fall sport -- Cross Country -- is Freshman Sia Vouvoudakis, who will bolster an already crowded backcourt. Sophomore Gabriella Peña also provides depth at multiple positions, able to assist with ball-handling responsibilities and at the wing.

The Clippers are coached by Greg Percoco, returning for his third year at the helm, and assisted by Daron Hernandez, who coached the JV girls program previously from 2017-2019. The Clippers open their season at home on December 2nd vs St. Joseph by the Sea.
