A faculty member in Xaverian’s Science and STEM Departments, Daniel Majikas has coached at Xaverian for 9 years, serving as the head coach of the Boys Varsity Swim Team, JV Boys Lacrosse, as an assistant coach for the JV Football Team, and two seasons as the assistant coach of Varsity B Basketball. His swimming experience comes from 15 years of working as a lifeguard for the Town of Hempstead pools, and currently as the Assistant Chief Lifeguard for the Village of Atlantic Beach Ocean Rescue. His experience playing lacrosse comes from his time at Calhoun High School in Merrick, NY where he played offensive midfield for 3 years. Daniel attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, earning a B.A. in Biology. Daniel then attended graduate school at Brooklyn College earning a MA in Adolescent Science Education.
