Sandra Mummolo began her career in education as an English teacher, and later moved on to various leadership roles at school and city-wide levels. After retiring, she joined the faculty of Xaverian High School in Brooklyn in 2007, where she served for two years as the Dean of Faculty, before taking the role of Assistant Principal of Academics for six years. After retirement from Xaverian, Sandra continued service there as an educational consultant for three years. Over the course of her career, she has written school and city-wide curriculum, mentored teachers, and designed and delivered professional development to new and veteran teachers and engaged in strategic planning. Sandra is currently teaching part-time in the Touro University Graduate School of Education Master’s program in Education & Special Education as a Clinical Instructor

Sandra holds a Master of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Richmond College, CUNY, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Hunter College, and New York State licensure in both School and District Administration and Supervision, and as a teacher of English. She was awarded the Theodore James Ryken Educator of the Year Award by Xaverian High School and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, Massachusetts.
