The Xaverian Varsity Cheerleaders are all set to take on the 2024-2025 season! Over the coming months, the team will be dedicated to perfecting both classic and new cheers, halftime routines, and special performances to support Xaverian teams. Their constant determination and hard work promise to make this season their most impressive yet. The Varsity Cheerleading team is excited for a fantastic year ahead, eager to support our school teams and represent Xaverian with pride!
Erin Richroath has been involved in cheerleading since her own freshman year of high school. She has participated in local, state, and national competitions as a team member and now as a Varsity Coach is excited to create these special memories for her team.
Richroath was an assistant coach for many years at St. Edmund’s Prep. When she began teaching at Xaverian in 2015, she also started as coach for the school’s new Cheer Program. In the program's short history, the team has placed first overall among Brooklyn/Queens schools at multiple competitions and ranked second in the state at the most recent State Competition.
During her time as coach, Richroath has led the cheerleaders in their involvement in so many aspects of their school and community. From charity fundraisers, school activities, and to of course sporting events, the cheerleaders truly embody what it means to have school spirit.
