Xaverian Juniors and Genesis Students Volunteer to Support Local Food Pantries
In a powerful show of community spirit and dedication, Xaverian High School juniors recently volunteered at the CHiPS Food Pantry in Park Slope. At the same time, students from the Genesis program lent a helping hand at the Our Lady of Angels Food Pantry. The students eagerly participated in organizing food donations, assembling meal kits, and ensuring essential supplies reached families in need.
Both food pantries expressed gratitude for the students’ efforts, noting the impact their contributions made for community members struggling with food insecurity. The volunteers not only provided invaluable support but also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of service, compassion, and unity.
