Freshman Mentoring Sessions Kick Off to Support New Clippers
Freshman Mentoring sessions are underway at Xaverian! Our newest Clippers are meeting with faculty in small groups during their Religion classes once a week for six weeks. These sessions provide an opportunity for students to build friendships, develop essential skills, and ease into high school life.
Through activities and discussions, students not only get to know each other better but also explore strategies for academic success and personal growth. A key part of these sessions is learning about Xaverian’s core charisms, which guide the school’s values and community spirit. Last week's Freshman Mentoring Group session focused on friendship. Students explored the positive qualities they value in their friends. The key takeaways were that open communication and setting healthy boundaries are essential for maintaining strong friendships. The third Freshmen Mentoring Group session focused on time management. Students discussed the challenges of balancing multiple responsibilities and shared effective strategies they've used to stay organized and successfully manage their time. With the support of their mentors, our freshmen are embracing the start of their high school journey with confidence!
