  The mission of the Xaverian Black Student Union is to promote a positive and productive representation of the African American community on and off the Xaverian High School campus. We promote cultural awareness, scholarship, community outreach, and student empowerment. We embrace our cultural heritage, unity, and the appreciation of diversity.
  
  

  The BSU's focus is to build awareness, education, and a new level of consciousness about being an African American in today's society. We aim to teach others about diversity and show that through engaging in activities and discussions focused on acceptance and tolerance, we will get a better understanding of others while learning about ourselves.
